5. Empowerment

A Lifelong Empowerment Story

Before politics, before real estate, before knighthood, I was an empowerment agent. My track record in youth sports development, educational support, and community economic programmes stretches back to my days as a student at NUIS (National Union of Isoko Students) on campus. I have always described empowerment not as a campaign promise but as my past life  the thing I have always done.

I am an empowerment person. With the power of government, I will do better. This is the core logic: what I achieved with private resources and personal determination will now be amplified by the machinery of democratic representation.

The Five Sub-Pillars of Empowerment

My empowerment agenda is structured around five transformative sub-pillars, each targeting a different dimension of human potential in Isoko:

1. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

Isoko’s informal economy traders, artisans, service providers, entrepreneurs represent a vast, underserved economic ecosystem. The OGHALEISOKO2027 agenda commits to:

  • Lobbying for SMEDAN (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria) resource allocation to Isoko North and South Federal constituency.
  • Creating access to federal intervention funds and the Bank of Industry for Isoko SME owners.
  • Using the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), which the current constituency has already secured N80m as a platform for technology-based business development.
2. Agriculture

Isoko’s agricultural heritage palm oil, pepper, cassava, fishery, and subsistence farming have enormous commercial potential that remains unrealized due to power poverty, poor storage infrastructure, and lack of market access.

  • Connecting Isoko farmers to federal agricultural grant programmes and the CBN Anchor Borrowers Programme.
3. Education

Human capital development begins in the classroom. My educational empowerment agenda is focused on strengthening learning opportunities and expanding access to quality education for young people across Isoko. My vision includes lobbying for improved educational infrastructure, supporting programmes that ease the financial burden of students pursuing higher education, and promoting initiatives that enhance learning environments in secondary schools through strategic public funding and development partnerships.

4. Development Skills

In a knowledge driven economy, skills are the new currency. OGHALEISOKO2027 commits to vocational training programmes that match the actual demands of Isoko’s economy:

  • Welding, fabrication and technical skills for the oil and gas supply chain.
  • Construction and real estate skills, leveraging my direct industry expertise.
  • Digital and entrepreneurship skills for Isoko’s youth population.
5. Sports and Entertainment

Sports in Isoko represent far more than recreation. They serve as a pathway for youth development, a platform for unity among communities, and an avenue through which local talent can gain wider recognition. Over the years, I have demonstrated a personal commitment to grassroots sporting initiatives, particularly in football.

Under the OGHALEISOKO 2027 vision, sports and the creative sector are recognized as important drivers of youth engagement and community development. The agenda emphasizes creating an enabling environment that encourages sporting activities, supports the growth and discovery of young talents, and promotes cultural and entertainment initiatives that showcase Isoko’s rich heritage while contributing to local economic and social vitality.
